The rooftop of the former Seward Park High School on Manhattan’s Lower East Side has evolved into one of NYC’s most enticing graffiti canvases. Long the home to immigrants and working-class folks, Manhattan’s Lower East Side, south of Houston Street, is continually revising itself. Yet, despite the proliferation of modern glass-walled high-risers and seemingly wealthy newcomers, its public spaces and storefronts still remain a canvas for both legal and illegal street art. Here’s a sampling of what we spotted yesterday:
